2013 is a very special year for the PLUDRA – FRANKFURT. Many events will take place in this year. 1963, exactly 50 years ago, Michael Paul Pludra started distributing funeral necessities in Frankfurt together with his wife.

With a lot of hard work and endurance they developped the company into a regional supplier in the Rhine-Main area.

1980 they exhibited for the first time at the BEFA and already the first foreign distribution partner for Austria is established. Further distribution partners of other countries follow within the next years.

Within time, the company grows and Thomas Pludra’s wife joins the company. By her great commitment, she extensively contributes to the company’s success. Until today, she always has an open ear for the wishes and concerns of the employees and always keeps a friendly and warm manner in the company.

1993 exactly 20 years ago, the new company in Celle was built. The existing location in Frankfurt had become much too small.

1997 an extension is built for urn productions. Now, various technical devices are produced and distribution is extended to the whole of Europe.

2000 the urn production is conducted in two shifts and reaches capacity and another hall is built for raw materials.

2004 the so far only customer centre in the funeral industry of this size is established. Since then, many events have taken place with up to 1000 visitors.

2013 many events take place:

-20 years in Celle.
-50 year company anniversary.
-With Christian Pludra, the next generation joins the company on July 1st.
-Currently 45 people are employed at PLUDRA.
-In fall, Pludra will open Europe‘s first shopping centre exclusively for funeral homes. Here, funeral homes can find everything they need on 4000 m². In addition to their own sales program, many other companies of this sector are presented with their products.
