The purpose of the International Travel Pass for the Dead is to help anybody involved in the repatriation, to access information on the deceased, without the difficulty which arises when confronted with documentation in a foreign language.
In fact everybody involved in repatriation should be using this document, since authorities in different countries can see instantly, in their own language, what the documentation is about.

The International Travel Pass for the Dead acts as a travel pouch for all the necessary documents concerning the repatriation of deceased people. The front cover shows the name of the deceased and travel details. Upon opening, there is a small sleeve for containing the legal documentation for transportation and a full list of languages. The 26 languages are: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Greek, Turkish, Indian, Pakistani, Arabic, Persian (Farsi), Hebrew, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Yugoslavian, Czechoslovakian, Hungarian, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Danish, Romanian, Bulgarian.

In simple number order, you would complete the relevant language required relating to the country the deceased is leaving, any stopover and final destination.
