The ALPAR World Summit has been hosted by several countries in Latin America, from Mexico (2009), Colombia (2011), Panama (2014) and now, in 2018, Bolivia. The economic and industrial capital, will welcome the most renowned leaders of the Industry to share experiences, acquire knowledge and exchange culture. This event will be the framework for two important activities: The commemoration
of the 30th anniversary of the foundation of ALPAR and the International Convention of FIAT IFTA, where its International Council of Direction will meet and the new International President shall assume office for the 2018-2020 period.

Hundreds of funeral professionals gathered at Place Bonaventure for the Funeral Service Association of Canada’s (FSAC) Annual Convention. FSAC is FIAT-IFTA partner to host the Federation Convention for funeral directors and suppliers.
The FSAC Convention boasted a truly unique trade show.
From 28 – 31 May 2014 at the premium location of the Messe, Düsseldorf coinciding with the BEFA Funeral Expo nearly 200 National, Active and Associate members coming from more than 40 countries attended the Federation’s meetings, the Conference on Disaster Preparedness, events and the Expo showcase of FIAT-IFTA at the BEFA exhibition.
The change of Insignia marked the end of the term of President Claus-Dieter Wulf from Germany and the new era of the 2014 – 2016 FIAT-IFTA President. Marc Poirier who reminded the attendance that it was a special moment for him as his father Gilles Poirier has been also FIAT-IFTA President from 1998 to 2000. Incoming 3rd Vice president Marek Cichewicz from Poland was warmly welcomed by all Members.
